Chirashi set at Sushi Matsumoto, Gourmet 494, Galleria, Seoul
Miss Bae so nice, helpful and gave a fresh, hot, second white miso soup.
She says the chefs are so proud of their work – they should be, very good!
My absolute favorite Beijing food memory.
This one was ok, happy to find a facsimilie.
But she did not have a real yotiao or coriander paste
Chili paste – best thing about Asiana’s in-flight meal Seoul to Beijing.
They licked the age old question chicken or beef, by serving them in one dish; flanking a giant dollop of steamed rice – ill advisedly fried chicken and beef like Asian ropas.
After everything on the tray is unwrapped it is unnecessarily fluffy – or maybe I’m projecting.
First the moist toilette, then the full sized logoed paper napkin, and the silverware set – embossed “Asiana” and pretty attractive.
Even the foil for the chieef(chicken-beef) main is a space age blue and thick as a Nasa heat shield.
The Parkerhouse tasting roll wrap wouldn’t stay down and the paper cup refused to collapse.
When the flawlessly sweet stewardess came to collect, even red faced beer drinking men and pale video playing youths had compactly combined their empties and discretly covered all with a paper napkin shroud.
Mine was placed on the floor and reconfigured to fit into the tight little box trolley by a impecably coiffed girl-woman in a red satin apron splashed with pastel embroidered flowers.
The creamer’s kinda cute too.
